Requirements

An annual license is required for all Hotel/Motel establishments within the Village of Rantoul as outlined in Chapter 12 of the Village Code. Licenses are issued for the period of May 1 to April 30.

Applications

A completed application, insurance certificate, and fee should be submitted to the Village Clerk for review. Allow 2-3 weeks for processing.

Fee

The license fee is $5 per room.

Insurance

Applicant is required to provide an insurance certificate with coverage as outlined in the Village Code. Insurance coverage is required for the term of the license.

Inspection

Before a license can be issued, the inspection department will inspect the property to make sure there are no code enforcement issues and/or that all corrections have been made.

Renewal

Annual renewal application may be submitted from March 1 to April 10 of each year. Once the license is approved, the license will be mailed to the business.
