Informational Open House Meeting for the intersection improvement of US Route 45 and Flessner Avenue and the Closure and Removal of a section of Doolittle Boulevard
Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 16, 2014 5:00PM to 7:00PM at the Village of Rantoul Municipal Building at 333 S. Tanner St. Rantoul, IL 61866
The Village of Rantoul will conduct an Informational Open House Meeting concerning the intersection improvement of US Route 45 at Flessner Avenue and the closure and removal of a section of Doolittle Boulevard. The informational meeting will be held in the Board Room of the Municipal Building on January 16, 2014 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. All persons interested in the project are invited to attend this meeting.
The meeting will be conducted on an informal basis. Representatives of the Village of Rantoul will be available to discuss the project and will answer individual questions and record comments offered by those in attendance. Verbatim comments will not be recorded. The meeting will address topics such as the need for the project, the colsure of Doolittle Boulevard and the required diversion of traffice, right-of-way modifications, and the tentative construction schedule.
Preliminary reports and an engineering analysis with drawings and maps will be available for inspection and viewing during the meeting. This material is available for inspection and viewing at the Rantoul Public Works Building, 200 W. Grove Avenue, Rantoul, IL 61866.
The proposed improvement to the intersection of US Route 45 at Flessner Avenue will include removal of Doolittle Boulevard from Keal Street to Thunderbird Drive, widening of US Route 45, construction of a shared-use path from Keal Street to Thunderbird Drive, reconstruction and resurfacing of Flessner Avenue, storm sewer improvements, and pavement markings.
