Citizen Involvement

The Village has multiple Board, Commissions, and Committees made up of volunteer members appointed by the Mayor, subject to the approval of the Board of Trustees. Members provide their assistance, direction, and expertise to the Village in various areas including promotion of equal rights and opportunities, conducting studies of infrastructure challenges, reviewing land-use and zoning issues, oversight of the Village Public Safety Departments, reviewing proposed changes to the Village Code of Ordinances, and they provide their recommendations to the Mayor and Village Board.
