An annual license is required for all taxi businesses within the Village of Rantoul as outlined in Chapter 44
of the Village Code. Licenses are issued for the period of May 1 to April 30.
A completed application, insurance certificates for each vehicle, and fee should be submitted to the Village Clerk
for review. Allow 2-3 weeks for processing.
The license fee is $10 per vehicle annually.
An appointment will be set up by the police department to inspect all vehicles. Proof of inspection will be forward to the clerk’s office.
Applicant is required to provide an insurance certificate with coverage as outlined in the Village Code. Insurance coverage is required for the term of the license.
Annual renewal application may be submitted from March 1 to April 10 of each year. Once the license is approved, the license will be mailed to the business.
